DENVER, CO — Altitude Sports declared that it would resume broadcasting of the CHSAA 4A and 5A Colorado high school football state championship games starting from this week.
As indicated by Altitude Sports, President and general manager Matt Kelliher stated that they were delighted bringing back the 4, as well as, the 5 state championship games back to Altitude Sports. Empower Field at Mile High will host the last two games of the 4A and 5A state championship games on Sat., Dec. 3. The games will be broadcast live on Altitude Sports 2, with coverage beginning at 10: 00 am MT.
A Long and Storied History
Broadcasting high school sports in Colorado for many years is among Altitude Sports’ features. Since 2006, the network began airing the CHSAA state football championships, in addition to covering a wide range of other school sports games involving basketball, baseball, and softball.
Commissioner Rhonda Blanford-Green remarked, “CHSAA considers Altitude Sports as a great partner of the institution. The organization has always supported high schools sporting activities in the state of Colorado.”
Back to Empower Field at Mile High.
The 4A and 5A state championship games are coming back to Empower Field at Mile High for the first time since 2019. Due to the impact of Covid 19, the games where hosted at CSU’s Canvas Stadium in 2022.
Kelliher stated, “We are happy to come back to Empower Field at Mile High. This venue has a lot of history and it will undoubtedly create a good atmosphere for the matches”.
